The AVF-11A Design
Support Kit from Alternative Vision provides the camera
designer with a comprehensive set of hardware, software and services to
facilitate rapid incorporation of the Foveon X3 Pro 10M CMOS color image
sensor into new camera designs.
The foundation of the AVF-11A kit is the Alternative Vision Design
Development
platform (DDP), a reference design that illustrates how to use the Foveon
X3 Pro 10M CMOS direct image sensor to capture high quality still and
video image data and implement post processing. The DDP contains the
hardware necessary to acquire 36-bit color images and transfer them via a
high-speed interface to a host computer, which runs a suite of software
applications for operating the DDP and post-processing acquired images
under Microsoft® Windows® XP.
To facilitate effective use of the hardware and software, Alternative
Vision also
includes in the AVF-11A DSK 100 hours of on-site and remote support from a
corps of engineers with deep experience in camera design, color theory,
image
processing algorithms, FPGA and DSP implementations, optics and sensors. |
