Variable Focal Length Lenses

Variable Focal Length SWIR Lenses

Zoom and multiple-field lenses permit changing field of view without changing the lens.  Zoom lenses provide a continuously-varying field of view while retaining focus at all settings while multiple FOV lenses switch  rapidly and accurately from one field of view to another.  Since multiple FOV lenses need to maintain focus only for the preset fields, they generally have fewer elements and are lower in cost than zoom lenses.

75-500 mm (6.7x) SWIR Zoom Lens

The Optec Type C0628 offers motorized continuous zoom from 75 to 500 mm.  Zoom, Iris and optional focus are driven by high-quality DC servo motors.  The C0628 includes a mounting ring and accepts the Optec Canon FD to C-mount adapter.

 

100/200 mm SWIR Dual FOV Lens

The Optec Type C0718 is the first in a new family of SWIR lenses offering two or three preset focal lengths to permit rapid switching of FOV in a lens much lower in cost than zoom types.  Specifications shown are preliminary.
