Thank you for visiting the Alternative Vision website. In
these pages, we are pleased to present a large and
varied selection of unique optical
and electronic imaging products and services. Our
product lines start with lenses. From
Optec, we supply lenses covering wavelengths from
ultraviolet through infrared including over twenty
models of NIR lenses for use in the 900-1700nm band with
InGaAs cameras, a dozen lenses especially designed to
work with 3-CCD cameras in close conjugate applications
and an extensive selection of collimating, objective,
and relay lenses for coupling x-ray image intensifier
output phosphor images to CCD cameras. Behind the
lenses, we supply prisms for separating the incoming
illumination into several bands. The prisms are
available with 2 to 5 output channels and can cover the
band from 300 to 3000 nm. The splitting can be neutral
or spectrally selective including the common RGB scheme.
Optec provides these prisms as glass alone, with
lens mounts and filter and sensor supports or as
complete, precisely-aligned cemented assemblies
incorporating image sensors from ¼ inch to 24 x 26 mm.
High-temperature versions suitable for autoclaving are
available. We also provide sensors. For high-quality
color imaging, we have the
Foveon X3 Direct Image Sensor incorporating the
breakthrough layered-photodiode color separation
technology that preserves full resolution in color
images without the use of color filters that can cause
aliasing. For the most unique applications, we supply
custom CMOS sensors from
Lumiense for both area and line imaging. Through its
cooperation with a major semiconductor wafer fab,
Lumiense can offer custom development services at very
reasonable prices. Our camera lines include
HanVision, which produces the only real-time digital
cameras using the
Foveon image sensors and
Micro USA, which produces very-wide dynamic-range
cameras in both monochrome. These compact scanners save
space in machine vision systems while providing very
high scan speeds and convenient CameraLink interfaces.
For fully custom optical designs, we offer the services
of the
Polaris Research Group (PRG). Among its extensive
capabilities, PRG includes the design of custom embedded
microscope optics including objectives, collimators,
multi-wavelength LED illuminators, and imaging couplers
for transmission, polarization, interference,
fluorescence and a host of special microscope
techniques. PRG also offers imaging system design
services, image processing algorithm development, design
of light sensor subassemblies including interface
electronics and analysis of difficult optical problems
leading to recommendations for high-performance
solutions. For owners or manufacturers of equipment that
is currently or nearly obsolete, we offer legacy
services from
Micro USA, experts is reverse engineering old
avionics, microwave, electro-optical and communications
equipment to support repairs or design of modern
replacements.
From
Andon Electronics we offer an extensive line of
sockets and interconnects for image sensors, and
optoelectronic components from hundreds of vendors and
sockets and adapters for all of the standard integrated
circuit package types and sizes.
Finally, we offer consulting in development and
marketing of industrial and scientific imaging equipment
through
Pacific
Photonics. We are always looking for new and
different products to distribute. Please let us know if
you see one we ought to carry.
